Am I like the character in the book?
When reading a book, it is fun to identify with the characters and it adds deeper meaning to the story when you can. Think about the main character of the book you are reading, Crispin or Catherine. Write at least three sentences discussing some similarities and differences you share with the character. Do not say there isn't anything to compare!

Main Character ; Cathrinen .
ReplyDeleteI really dont think i am like Cathrine. We are both girls. Well, i guess i could be like her some way. If i didnt like a certain guy, i would do the same. I would put on all sorts of ugly make-up to get rid of him. Though, i really wouldnt want to be a villager like she wished. I would be really glad my father owned a few manors.
The main charcater in my book is crispin.We share similarities because he was curius about how did he get his name and i'am curius to.We have differences because he was a serf and i'am not.

ReplyDeletecripin is kind of like me because he is pretty wise and knows what to do in hard places in the story.but sometimes hes very dumb like me{SOMETIMES}.He is also pretty fast like me when he runs!

ReplyDeleteOne similarity I have with Crispin is we are both the same age.He is 13 and I am 13.One difference I have with Cripsin is that he has to run away to become free.I dont have to run away to be free. Another difference is he has to be a servant to Bear to possibly gain his trust. I have to be as polite and nice as can be to gain a adults trust or anyones trust for that matter.

ReplyDeleteI think that Catherine and I have a few similarities. One similarity is, that we both hate being forced into things. Another thing we have in common is that we both think that we should marry for love and not for money and parent aproval. Those are things that Catherine have in common.
ReplyDeleteThere are not many comparisons of me and Crispin, but I know of only two. Crispin and I are alike because we are both children. Crispin and I are also alike because we both lost someone close to our heart.
ReplyDeleteI think that one simalarite that I share with the character was that he got nervous when the big guy talked to him. I would have done that to. I also would have gone out of town.

ReplyDeleteI think I am like Crispin because we are both cautious of danger.Another similarity is that we both try to hide from our problems for him he was literally hiding from his and for me I ignore my problems.One more similarity is that we both have friends that we can trust like he has Cerdric.

ReplyDeleteIm not like the character because both of my parents are there to support me. However i kind of am like the character because i also like to snoop around. So on that note i am like the character but not like the character at the same time.
ReplyDeleteCrispin has a curious,sneeky,and adventurous personality. I can relate my self to Crispin, because I as well have a curious personality. At times I have gotten my self in to trouble for being curious at home. On the other hand I feel that Crispin is very diffrent from my self, because he is adventurous and he is not afraid of taking risk. As for me I like to keep myself organized so I know what to expect.
ReplyDeleteI think I am a bit like Crispin because I am cautious of suspicious acts and I keep quiet until it is absolutely necessary to talk. I am also similar to him because I am nervous and I worry too much(Crispin probably doesn't worry as much as me, but it shows up in the book). One thing that I don't have in common with Crispin is gender!! He's a boy and I'm a girl. . . Well, a real(better) characteristic that is different from mine is that he can't read. In the middle of the book, he said he didn't know his letters well. I'm glad I can read!! :)
ReplyDeleteIf i were to compare myself to Crispin , i would say me & him are both brave. We go out doing things we know can get us in trouble , but its not an adventure if u don't risk anything. I think we are different in the way that if i saw someone damaging my property i would do something about it. Also if someone talked to me in a disrespectful tone , i would do something about it. I think that i would probably get revenge to (:

ReplyDeleteWhile reading Crispin i realized i have sort off a similar situation as his he didnt have his dad by his side all the time and neither did i except my father is still alive.Some differences i have to him is that im not as afraid as he is to adults i may be scare but not as much.Another thinq we have in common is that we both had have struggled through are childhood.

There are sooo many characteristics and things that Crispin and I have in common, but I will only say two.... 1)Crispin and I both have only one adult in our lives that we seriously trust. 2)We get accused of things for no apperant reason whatsoever. One thing that we dont have in common is...1)I live in a world where I am not owned, and in Crispins time you were owned as a serf.... not a slave.

ReplyDeleteCrispin seems shy and not very outgoing because he has no one by his side. I am in some way similar to that because i am shy and not very outgoing myself. So this is a similarity that i have with the character Crispin.
ReplyDeleteI am similar to Crispin in many ways.One is that I believe in God.Second is that I never quit unless I try my hardest.I am also diffrerent because he used faith to guide him on his quest but I use resaon to solve things I have trouble on.

He is 13 and I am 13. One difference I have with Crispin is he has to run away to be free from his master. I have freedom so i dont have to run away. Another difference I have with Crispin is he has to serve for people to at least gain their respect and trust. Although I have to do some of it too, i dont have to serve people to gain their respect and trust.

DeleteI am reading crispin. We have a few things in common but some things we dont. We are in common because crispin is a adolescent like me. We are different because if mot living in the middle ages, also crispin is going through mant problems and i have never gone threw them. I cant imagine being him.
ReplyDeleteI think I am similar because he trust the priest and i trust my friends. I am different from Crispin because I dont hide when I am accused of doing something. I tell somebody that i didn't do something. But it is different because he would killed.

ReplyDeleteAm I like Crispin? In some ways I am and in other ways I am not. Like when he trusted the young boy, when he said that the pope told him that he would not be there. I probably wouldn't have trusted him. One way I am similar to Crispin is how strong he is. Not physically but emotionally. There are some areas in the book where I can totally relate to Crispin and I think it is pretty cool because it helps me understand the book a lot better.

ReplyDeleteCrispin and I have mant differences . One of the differences would be the support I get in my life. Crispin gets practically no support from anyone except his mother who ends up dying. I have a lot of support in my life that I am very grateful for. I know that I could not succed without it.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Crispin, and I can see a few similarities and differences. Crispin and I are similar because when he was travling, he was very nervous, and unsure of what was happening, I get unsure of what I'm doing in new places, sometimes. Crispin and I are different because I wouldn't have trusted a person I didn't know telling me to go a certain way, If I was in the trouble Crispin was in.
ReplyDeleteI dont think i am like Crispin very much because he is super brave and i would never go running out into the forests. But i am sort of like him because he is being independent and i can relate to that. But i am more unlike him than i am like him.

ReplyDeleteA difference is that at the beginning the character is like confused. Which I am not confused, so that would be a difference. Another difference is that Crispin's mother died, so he is kind of alone.
ReplyDeleteCrispin and I do share some differences and similarities. A difference a that Crispin lives during the 14th century and I live during the 21st century. Another difference is that Crispin is currently a servant and is being hunted down. Plus he has lost his mother. Nothing like this is happening or has happened to me. A similarity is is that we're both 13. Another similarity is that we've both had some kind of struggle in our life, but not as bad as eachother's.

Two differences that me and crispin have is that i live in Napa,California, U.S.A and crispin lives in medieval europe. One similarities that crispin and i have are, we get all the blamed on stuff we didn't cause. Another difference that crispin and i have, is that he is a peasant and I'm not.

ReplyDeleteFrom the book Crispin I find many differences between that character and I. A differnce between me and Crispin is that he was like a peasant and I'm not. A similarity is that when John Aycliffe tried to kill Crispin, but Crispin ran away I would do the same and run away in one of those accasion.

Some of the similarities Crispin and I share are that we both look for a good long and exciting adventure. The differences we share is that we both lived in a different time and place. One more thing is that he cannot read or write and I can.
ReplyDeletei can relate to catherine in some ways but not very many. i can relate to her because shes a little devious, and so am i. but i cant relate to her because she is always stuck in the house, unless she sneeks out.

ReplyDeleteI don't think Crispin and I are very alike. Except maybe for the fact that he runs away from his issues and isn't really the type to confront and deal with them even though there probably would be no issue fixing his problems. I'm kinda like that because sometimes I think if I try to fix something I'll just make matters worse. But our lives are very different because he was really poor and has been lied to about who his father was.
