Initial posting-February 6
Preview the book Crispin by looking at the front cover, reading the back cover and reading the first page of Chapter 1. Then make a prediction as to what you think this book will be about.
I think crispin is about a boy who has a difficult life and is trying hard ro survive.The Book seems very interesting and suspensful;it makes me wonder.
The book Crispin looks like it could be interesting and exciting but it can also be slow because the first few pages are kind of well... slow but it is pretty interesting.
My prediction is that something bad will happen to him.I also predict that he will have a more sad life because he lost he's mother.I also predict that he will lose everything and will have a horrible.
The book Crispin is about a boy who is a peasant. The first page talks about his mom dying and how nobody showed up to her funeral but him and a priest. I this book really interesting and has good detail to it.
This Book looks lik it could be good because of how crispin does things,he is pretty interesting on the first couple of pages.It looks like he will overcome the things in this book.
I predict that the book will be about a boy who faces many challenges in his life and will have to overcome them to find what he is looking for. He will have his ups and downs and will conquer them in the end.
the book cripin looks like it could be interesting and exiting but it also could boring in some places after i read the back of the book and the first two pages look like it could be sad has well.
The book Crispin seems very interesting. it seems as if it were to be based on a true story. i think Cripsin will relize that Jesus doesnt have it in fr him becauseof what happend to his mom.
This book seems a little interesting because its about a boy my age.Also I think that the boy goes on an adventure to find out something.In the first page it tells me that his mom has died ,so I think that he has to live by himself. I also think that since his mom died ,he doesnt have a dad either.
From what i've see from the cover,pictures,and the first page,I believe that it will be very interesting.It seems that he has a very sad life.Even with a sad life,he seems not that sad about his mother dying.
The book Crispin looks interesting and suspenseful. It shows the settings well and makes you wonder. My prediction is that he was accused for killing his mother and now they want to kill him.
this book seems like it would be interesting to read, but fictional at the same time. i think theres a lot in this book that relates to what we talk about and do in class.
MY prediction is that the boy is declared an outlaw and will be kiiled on sight by his village. In the first page of 'crispin' I read that his mother has died from something. All he has been known for is, 'Astas son'
This book is about a young boy who lost his mother and all posessions. He is wrongly accused of a crime and has to flee his village. I think the story will show him growing stronger and proving he is innocent. I'm not sure what the cross is all about.
i think this book is going to be about a boy who live in medieval england a he was poor.also i think is going to be about a boy that mother died and hewas stuck allown.
I am reading Catherine Called Birdy.I think after reading the front and back cover and the first page of the book that the book will be a interesting read.To try to eliminate all of your'r suitors.And send them packing from trickery,wits,and luck from your's truely Lady Catherine.But at one point I think that she will fall in love and her father will disagree with her.So "she's not your average damsel in distress..."
I think the book Crispin will be a very good book.It looks like it will be adventurous and suspensful.It looks like it will also be a book that will teach me a lot about medeival times and peasant life.
Crispin from the sounds of it sounds to me like a very lost boy. I know that losing a family member must be difficult, but from what I have already read on the back of the story shows me that he will react negatively about his mother death. i also predict that Crispin will develop friendships with some of the wrong people (Bear). To me this book sounds pretty interesting.
I predict the book will be about this boy who is fighting for his life going to town to town to stay hidden. I thought that because on the back cover of Crispin it said he was acused of a crime he didnt do and he has been declared a "wolfs head." I also thoght it was sad because in the first sentence of the book his mom died.
the book crispin was a good book. ive already read but i dont wont to give anything away about this book. i will have a few comments about crispin in the future but for now i dont want to say what happens.
My prediction is that this book will be about a nobels daughter in mideival times not wanting to marry any of her father suitors. They are all very rich and handsome, but ends up sending all of them packing. But the last, ugliest and richest man will be the won to win her in marriage and after all this she might actually fall for him in the end.
i think the book is starting off really good.but the mom just died so i think hes gunna live in poverty and hes gunna be wanted by the towns people.that is my prediction for crispin and what will happem!
This book looks and sounds interesting.Looking at the cover and reading the back makes me predict that this story is about a boy who is lost in life.This boy thought he had little to lose until he lost it all.
I predict that in this book, the boy will run away from home because he will be accused of something that he did. That was most likely what happened, and why on the back it says that he has been declared as a "wolf's head." I also think that its even more sad because it says that his mom died. And people just stared at him as if he had some sort of dease, that now one now's about.So those are some of the things that i think are going to happen in the next couple of chapters. ;]
i think the book Crispin is a very interesting book. i think so because it sounds like it is based on a true story.from what i got from the first page, i think he is very sad because his mother died when he was only 13 years old. what is even more sad, he had to bury his own mom. :(

As of what I have seen of the book I think it is going to be really good.I think the book is going to be interesting because the boy is about my age.I hope the book is as interesting as I think its going to be.
I didn't know i was only supposed to read the first page. I am now on chapter 12. So I don't want to give to much away. But I will say there is going to be an interesting turn of events,that keeps you turning pages.
i think that this book might be about a kid named Crispin,and he is suffering because of his mom's death. i also think that trhis whole book might talk about his time of running away because it says that they acussed him of a crime that he didn't even do. in the front cover it looks like he's so scared because thiers people behind him that want to kill him. it seems like a sad book.

I think the book crispin is a good book so far. i have read the first 7 chapters. I just couldnt put the book down! i think (after what ive already read) that the others in the book will try to hunt down and capture crispin for what he has done. i think he will have to run away from the manor with the only two things he has left: his mothers led cross, and his clothing.

I predict that the book will be sad yet slow beacause recently Crispin's mother died. And yet they are peasants.Ever since Asta's death his enemies are very much determined to kill Crispin.Even though he is being accused of a crime he did not commit he should be ready to fight at all times.He may be killed on sight,by anyone.So far as i read this book and skimmed and scanned to me my opinion of this book would have to be very exciting.
My prediction for the book is that Crispin will have to face many struggles and complications throughout this chapter in his life. He will probably have to deal with poverty, problems with the towns people, and many more. I feel bad for Crispin! I guess we'll just have to find out what happens to him. This seems like it will be a really good story.

I think that crispin will have a tremendous struggle. Although he still has slim chance of suvial, he will probably have more downs than ups.it sounds like he has nothing to loose so in this situation he is probably not phased by the pressure of dying.

Angie O To Tatianna Student. Yeah, that seens true. Its even harder for him to move on into being a strong young boy because of the loss of his mother. This book seems like if Crispin was in trouble & kept trying to have some peace. Since he cant really move on, i think the fact that his mother died it will kind of motivate him to become stronger & have have a stronger life. Hopefully soom he will become a very strong boy that his mother can be very proud of. :D He might even be able to findpeace where nobody can bring his mood down!
Ithinks the book Crispin will be about a kid who has to face may challenges in his life. Maybe his challenges willl be with money or the towns peopel.So i think he will have many challenges to deal with.Will just have to wait and see.
my prediction is that crispin is going to have a sad part of his life and he is going to fight for his life. crispin was accused of something he didnt do and he is going to have to stay away for people to live and change his name. by reading only a little bit of the book i can tell it is going to have alot of action and be exciting.

My prediction for the book Crispin is that it will be an interesting book that if filled with suspenseful events. One thing that i think will happen is that he tries running away and he will get caught. But while he is gone something bad will happen so everybody blames him because nobody didn't know where he was during the time that the crime happened.
My prediction for this book "Crispin" is that he will have to deal with many tragedies and he will be faced with danger continuously. Also I think that he will be chased and he will have to run away just for his safety. Crispin lives in a dangerous time period but I think that he will be very brave. By reading the back and the first couple of pages i see that this boy has just had a terrible loss of his mother and then he is accused of a crime he did not commit and he knows it wont be a fair trial so he has no choice but to run away.Therefore he is declared "wolf-head"(can be killed on sight by anyone).So overall it looks like a very good and insightful book.And I look forward to reading it.
I predict that Crispin will have to face minor and major problems such as facing townspeople and figuring out how to do things since his mother had died. Although his enemies are watching for him constantly he has to find ways to hide from them so he isn't killed. This book seems interesting and I'm excited to find out more as I read on!

From what i have read already the book is very exiting and when the bell rings for SSR I want to know whats going to happen next. I personally like it its an AR book but its fun to read
I predict the story Crispin the Cross of Lead, is about a teenage boy who's mother just died her name was Asta. In which I think it took place in midevil times. I think this story is going to be sad at times and with fight action.

In the story Crispin the Cross of Lead, based on the cover, back, and first page I predict the story will be about a boy that is in his teenage years. By the reading the first page I know that his mother Asta has died. I think the novel wil be sad, have a lot of fighting, and the boy will have to fend for him self when he is accused of a crime and will be killed if he does not leave the small village.

I pedict that no one liked crispin and his mother.And after his mother died and someone blamed him for killing the preist the village wanted to kill crispin.Crispin ran away from the village and found a man named Bear who became his master and friend.Then people from his old village came to kill Bear and him but couldn't.
Fom previewing the book i think that crispin is going through a tough time.That people are after him for something he didnt do so he runs.That they might find him and kill him if they do find him.That is what i predict.

So far i think that life back then was really hard. The reason why I think its so hard is because they had to plow the fields. They also had to live in pretty much there own bathroom because they would ... you know let nature pass throw. Then they would throw it in the road. So it was very unsanitary where people could get sick very easily. So those are all of my reasons why i think life was very hard for them. ")
I think their daily life and the boys life is hard . Well the boy has had his mom die and then Aycliffe said that he has to give the ox the pay the death taxes and if the boy give the ox he will not be able to work the fields and he will starve. All the serfs and him just work work work and they dont get breaks at all.
Their daily life is working every day.They worked from dawn until dusk which is a lot. They fed their animals and gathered wood.For them,daily life was a big struggle. Their every day life goal was to survive.
i predicted that it was going to be very interesting book just by reading the back of the book. and the cover it looked like it was a bad time to be in.at that timethey were living in.but ill could say it looked pretty good
I predict that the story Catherine Called birdy is about a 13 year old girl who feels trapped because her father is wanting her to find a rich man no matter how old or even if she doesnt like him. I also think that Catherine writes about her day and everything that happened.
I think the story is going to be about a boy who's life is kind of hard. Also I think that people might actually like him better. One other thing I think might happen is he might stop working and starve.
The slaves in spring,summer, and fall had to work on the fields from dawn to dusk.In winter they fed the animals.All their lives were just about working with alot of punishments
I think that their daily life's in this time was just trying to survive.I think that "Asta's Son's" life was very tough because he is all alone now that his mother died and has no clue who his father is.And now he doesn't know where he's going to feed himself from since Aycliffe told him that he has to give his ox that he used for farming his fields to the Lord.
I think their daily life is challenging mostly because of the fact that jhon aycliffe is a cruel steward manor who treats people badly mostly out of anger and rage. His life is also hard because in the begging of the book it describes that people shunned her which probably meant they did not like her and asta's son would live in his mom's shadow .
from reading the book what i think will happen is that his mom is gonna die and he will have no where to go. he will get scared and will run in the forest and get lost. He will be homeless with no where to go.Thats what i predict.

I predict that Crispin will make it out of town before Aycliffe and his men find him. I don't know why Aycliffe thinks that he stole something from that house. So far it is heart pounding when he tries to escape the town he almost got caught! But I think he will make it. I think it must be hard on him.
My prediction about the book "Crispin" is about a boy whose mother has just died. I believe that he will face many challenges on his journey at this time, but will eventually overcome his struggles in the end.
I can see how Crispin's life might be a struggle for many reasons. For one, his mother has just died, and two, he has to have his ox killed, which is the only thing he has left besides his life, and the clothes that he wears.
In the book "Crispn" I am on page 13. I found it surprising that his ox had to be killed. On thing I predict will happen is him getting caught, but eventually escaping.

I am on page 73 on the Crispin book.I am surprised that Crispin doesn't give up on himself.He is a really tuff boy.I predected the part when Crispin would run away after his mom died.I predicted this because he was going to have more hater than what they already have on him.

I already finished the book. But, at one point i thought that Bear would die and that Crispin would get captured when the soldiers barged in at the meeting with John Ball. I was eally surprised however, when Crispim excaped.
I predict the book will be about a young boy named crispin in the middle ages. I can also tell by the cover that he is being pursued so I guess he might be wanted for something. I can aslo tell his future will get better because of thepicture inside.

I know that losing a family member must be difficult, but from what I have already read on the back of the story shows me that he will react negatively about his mother death. i also predict that Crispin will develop friendships with some of the wrong people (Bear). This book seems like if Crispin was in trouble & kept trying to have some peace. Since he cant really move on, i think the fact that his mother died it will kind of motivate him to become stronger & have have a stronger life. Hopefully soom he will become a very strong boy that his mother can be very proud of. :D He might even be able to findpeace where nobody can bring his mood down!

DeleteSo far i think that life back then was really hard. The reason why I think its so hard is because they had to plow the fields. They also had to live in pretty much there own bathroom because they would ... you know let nature pass throw. Then they would throw it in the road. So it was very unsanitary where people could get sick very easily. So those are all of my reasons why i think life was very hard for them. ")

ReplyDeleteI think the book Catherine,Called Birdy is about at girl who feels like she is being trapped by her father and he is determined to have Catherine married to a rich man even if he is the oldest,ugliest,or most revolting suitor of them all. Also i think she will be talking about how her life is and what she does every day.

ReplyDeleteI am on page 73 on the Crispin book.I am surprised that Crispin doesn't give up on himself.He is a really tuff boy.I predected the part when Crispin would run away after his mom died.I predicted this because he was going to have more hater than what they already have on him.
ReplyDeleteI predict at first that the book is going to be about a kid thats trying to asscape a town because they whant to kill him but than when i was reading the book the mather dies and then he was all sad i hope that i still keep reading this book because it is really good
ReplyDeleteI think the book of Crispin is going to be a good book. I predict that he gets in trouble. I can tell that people are chaiceing him with fire torshers because he did something wrong. Thats what I think is going to happen on the book.
ReplyDeleteThe book Crispin is about a boy who is a peasant. The first page talks about his mom dying and how nobody showed up to her funeral but him and a priest. I this book really interesting and has good detail to it.
ReplyDeleteI think the book will be about a boy running away and calling himself a new name.I think he will be succesful in escaping from the person he runs away from.I don't think he should keep running if its for a reason he sholdn't run away from.If he runs from trouble than he should keep on running and hiding.

ReplyDeleteI already finished the book. But, at one point i thought that Bear would die and that Crispin would get captured when the soldiers barged in at the meeting with John Ball. I was eally surprised however, when Crispim excaped.
