Even though the books you are reading took place hundreds of years ago, many of the characters have personality traits that are timeless. The world they live in is different than the world you live in, but they often act just like people today act. Choose one of the characters in your book. If that character lived today, would they have been your friend? What would you have liked or disliked about their personality?
As always, write at least three sentences!
I would be friends with crispin.He listens and sometimes doesn't listen just like kids our age today.I like how he speaks his mind.That is why I choose Cripin.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting question. I chose the main character Crispin. If he were still alive today , i think we WOULD be friends. The qualities he has shown are very believable & realistic. Very much like me , i think especially his curiosity is how we relate the most. His bravery & ability to be a strong person as well .
ReplyDeleteI am choosing Crispin.If he would have lived today I wouldent have been his friend since he is kind of quiet and is very shy.I am not that shy and If hes quiet then I wouldent be able to talk to him without a reply or with a small reply.
ReplyDeleteI chose John Aycliffe because he seems mysterious and not a very nice person. If he lived today, I probaly wouldn't be his friend because he may seem mysterious ,but he seems rude too. What I would have liked about him is when he sets his mind on something he trys his hardest and does everything he can. I thought that because when he was looking for Crispin he did everything he could. I would not have liked how he's so rude and unplesent.

What I might have liked about his personality is that he never gives up like in the story he didn't give up on him finding a place to live for nobody to find him. Also that he tries to help Bear get out of the place the soldiers took him in because that showed that he tried to help a friend.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite character in Crispin is Crispin, he is very honest and does what he is told even if he doesnt what to. If crispin lived in the world today, I'd probably be friends with him. I like the fact that he keeps his beliefs even though bear and the world around him are challenging his thoughts. I dont like how he reacts in certain situastions.
ReplyDeleteIf they lived here, right now, i dont think i would be Cathrines friend. Even though she has really smart ideas to get guys off her case, i dont think i would be her friend. I really would like that she is so smart & that she has great ideas.
ReplyDeleteI think that he would be friend because he is honest and he is really kind, plus he follows the rules. He is honest because he tells the truth he doesn't lie and he tells anybody the truth even though he doesn't like them. I think that he is trustworthy because he keeps secrets.

ReplyDeleteI choose Crispin,he is a very loyal. When the soldiers took Bear he told Crsispin to run away. He is loyal because when things got tough he didnt give up and he saved Bear. I would have Crispin as a friend the actions that he has to face and all the challenges may be possible in this world today.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose someone,I would choose Crispin.If Crispin were alive today,I am not sure we would be friends.We don't have much in common and we wouldnt have really any reason to be friends.You can't be friends with someone that doesnt have anything in common.It probably wouldnt work out very well.One thing I wouldnt like about Crispin is he isnt confident about himself.He doesnt like who he is and doesnt care that people pick on him.I am not sure I could be friends with someone who is like that.

ReplyDeleteCrispin is the character I am choosing. If Crispin was to live today he would have been my friend. What I would have liked about Crispins personality is that he is brave. For example when Crispin had the chance to leave the town he came back to save Bear and manage to kill Aycliffe. Judging by that I think it shows bravery.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest since Crispin has such lack of confidence I think we would make good friends due to our such opposite pesonalities. I would dislike the amount of courage in Crispin when we would want to do anything. I would like the fact that I could depend on him though. I really saw a down to earth person when he went back to save Bear.
ReplyDeleteTo me i honestly think that Catherine would not be my friend. She's kind of sneaky about the way she does things. Also another reason is that she makes sure she gets what she wants, she doesn't really take no for an answer.

I guess. Anyways I think Catherine is a good hearted, curious person & there is nothing I dislike about her!
